The Way We Were

Memories, like the comers of my mind
Misty water colored memories, of the way we were

Scattered pictures, of the smile we left behind
Smile we gave to one another, of the way we were

Oh, can you believe it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line
Then if we have a chance to do it all again
Can we, could we

Scattered pictures, of the smile we left behind
Smile we gave to one another, of the way we were

Looking back flipping through the pages, remembering the stages
Of my status, emotional,
I search for ways to unlock the matrix,
This mystery is driving me through multiple stages of analyzing,
I lost in my mind state this spot too hot, need ventilation,
Facin' ill situations, I let imagination flow
With extraterrestrial rhyme styles
Causin' detrimental effects, before you can reflex
I'm mentally in laundromat state, never flat rate,
My mind infiltrated with lust deceit and mad papes,
My soul is restless, when MC's try to test this
Then I have to kick this, hectic, kind of dialectic
The illustrator verbalizing mental data
Words fly , causin' craters, I'm reaching for the respirator
Restlessly, but with nice entry,
And memories remain endlessly

Oh, can you believe it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line
Then if we have a chance to do it all again
Can we, could we

Memories, may we beautiful again, what's too painful
to remember, we simply choose to forget, so it's the laughter
We'll remember, whenever, we'll remember, the way we were
